Three Car Pile-Up in Crawford County
Meaville – Nobody suffered significant injuries in a three car pile-up outside Meadville on Friday afternoon. Two private vehicles and a State Police cruiser were involved in the crash which happened near the interstate highway onramp in Vernon Township between Meadville and Conneaut Lake. The incident report states that a 50-year-old woman came to a sudden stop east of the onramp and two vehicles behind hers collided with her rear bumper, one of them was a State Police cruiser.

Preliminary Primary Results
Harrisburg – Preliminary results for yesterday’s primary election can be found online today. The results for statewide contests for Pennsylvania’s Supreme, Superior, and Commonwealth Court can all be found at electionreturns.pa.gov. Additionally, each county will have its own municipal races posted on their websites. Results are not yet official and still need to be certified by election boards.

AG Henry Settles Rent-to-Own Case
Harrisburg – Snap Finance LLC, a rent-to-own company, has settled with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania over its duplicitous practices. Over $7.3 million in reparations will be paid to Snap Finance customers who found themselves on the hook for as much as 152% APR on purchases through the company. Snap Finance misled customers in Pennsylvania into believing that they would be able to pay off items quickly but were locked into expensive long-term contracts that cost much more than they were told. The company also used a web-based portal where retailers could sign fraudulent contracts in the name of customers.

Police Search for Man Who Stole Assault Style Rifles
Sugarcreek – The Pennsylvania State Police are asking for help in their investigation of a burglary at Rural King in Sugarcreek. Security footage shows that at about 1:45 AM Saturday morning, a man broke into the store and attempted to smash open a display case full of handguns; when he failed to get inside the case he instead stole what police describe as two AK-47 style rifles off of a rack and exited the store toward Front street before police could arrive. The video shows that the suspect is a black male who was wearing a black mask, black hoodie with red and white writing on the front, black pants, and white tennis shoes.
