Four Teens Injured in Crash
Pleasantville – Several teenagers were hospitalized in Titusville after a weekend crash in Venango County. On Saturday Afternoon A Toyota Corolla driven by a 17-year-old lost control on the rain-slicked surface of Route 27 in Oilcreek Township; they hydroplaned and slid into a culvert where the car rolled multiple times. All four occupants of the vehicle were between 17 and 19 years old and were taken to Titusville Hospital, but there were no severe injuries.
FFVP Money Goes to Sharon Schools
Sharon – More than $73,000 in grants were given to elementary schools in Sharon City School District through the Federal Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Program. The FFVP is for schools with the highest percentage of children enrolled in the National School Lunch Program; it grants funds for providing fresh produce that’s available for students separate from lunch and breakfast and gives children from low-income families more opportunities to enjoy fresh foods.
Victims of Plum Explosion ID’d
Pittsburgh – A sixth victim of the house explosion in the Borough of Plum died in a hospital yesterday and investigators have identified all five people killed in the explosion. The victims were 12-year-old Keegan Clontz and his father Casey, Kevin Sebunia (55), Michael Thomas (57), and Heather Oravitz (51) whose husband Paul (56) died yesterday. The cause of the explosion has not been determined and could take months or years to discover.
