Man Arrested at Venango County Courthouse
Franklin – William Dale Foster of Franklin is being held in Venango County Jail as a flight risk after allegedly attacking a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper at the County Courthouse. Foster had pleaded guilty to defiant trespass before attacking the officer and attempting to kick them; he has been charged with disorderly conduct and felony attempted assault of a peace officer. Court records show that Foster is homeless and is also wanted for crimes in another county.

Crawford Gives Raises Big Money
Meadville – Crawford Gives finished its 72-hour run last night at midnight and successfully raised $781,090.43 for local charities and nonprofits. The Academy Theatre in Meadville was the highest earner, receiving over $46,000 for its general operating fund in 115 donations and Women’s Services received the most individual donations with 147 gifts that helped them exceed this year’s $25,000 goal.  Full results can be seen by visiting CrawfordGives.org.
