New York Man Arrested for Drugs in Titusville
Titusville – Details have been revealed about the drug-related arrest of a New York man in Titusville. Court and police records indicate that Luke Stevenson of West Seneca, New York was arrested on September 29th on charges of manufacture or possession with intent to deliver cocaine and methamphetamine.  According to police Stevenson was caught driving erratically and had no tail lights on his vehicle and the drugs were discovered by State Troopers during the traffic stop. The Pennsylvania State Police in Corry are asking anyone who may have more information to call Trooper Dafula at (814)663-2043.

Mason Swanson Sentencing
Warren – In Warren County, Mason Swanson was sentenced yesterday to a prison term as long as 50 years for possession of child pornography. Swanson, who pleaded guilty to the charges, was sentenced to 20 to 50 years for possession of sexual materials involving children; he will also serve a minimum five years probation after being released and will be registered as a sexually violent offender for life. Swanson has previously been convicted of indecent assault of a 13-year-old boy and has also pleaded guilty to separate charges of aggravated assault against a guard at Warren County Jail.

New Local PennDOT Executive
Oil City – PennDOT has announced the promotion of a Meadville man to Assistant District Executive of Maintenance in District 1. Aaron Fox has been a PennDOT employee for over 25 years and has a degree in mechanical engineering, he will oversee the maintenance activities and winter servicing of over 3,000 miles of roads and 2,600 bridges across the district. District 1 includes most of Northwest Pennsylvania, it is headquartered in Oil City and encompasses the entirety of Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango, and Warren Counties.

PA Unemployment Rate
Harrisburg – Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate has dropped again, setting a new record low of 3.4% in September; according to the Department of Labor and Industry, last year’s September unemployment rate was 4.3%. For the 9th consecutive month, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania added jobs and increased its all-time high employment numbers with over 6.17 million men and women employed in non-farm positions. The national unemployment rate for September was 3.8%.
