Burham Changes Plea
Warren – According to Pennsylvania’s Attorney General, on Thursday, Micheal Burham pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping and escaping from jail after offering a not guilty plea to the escape charge in September. Burham, who made national news after he escaped from Warren County Jail and spent nine days as a fugitive in July, was originally being held in Pennsylvania for the abduction of an elderly couple from Warren County and forcing them to drive him to South Carolina in May. On Thursday, Burham, who was transferred to Erie County, changed his plea in both cases to guilty and is scheduled to be sentenced on January 5th. Burham is still the primary suspect in a rape and murder investigation in Jamestown, NY.
Remains of Missing Titusville Man Identified
Titusville – Human remains discovered by Oil Creek last year have finally been identified. Titusville’s Public Safety Commissioner Dustin LeGoullon announced that the body had been identified as Bradley White, who was 46 years old when he disappeared nearly five years ago on November 18th, 2023. According to the Venango County Coroner Christina Rugh, there was no indication that foul play was involved in Mr. White’s death.
Food Recall
Plano, TX – Frito-Lay has issued a voluntary recall on snack foods being sold in multiple states including Pennsylvania, New York, and Ohio. Specific batches of ‘Off the Eaten Path Chickpea Veggie Crisps’ may contain undeclared allergens in the form of milk ingredients due to the unintentional inclusion of the wrong flavorings. Bags that have been recalled all have a March 12, 2024 expiration date and contain the last five characters in their manufacturing code 514MH, 516MH, and 517MH. The product can be returned for a refund or replacement at the location it was purchased from.
