Crash Injures Three
Cranberry – Three people were hospitalized after a collision in Venango County on Thursday morning. Crash scene investigators report that 19-year-old Zachary Hodges and his two passengers were all hospitalized when he failed to stop at a traffic sign at the intersection of Hill City and Tarklin Roads in Cranberry Township. A second vehicle hit their passenger side door when the driver could not avoid them in time. All three occupants of Hodges’s vehicle were taken to UPMC Northwest for the treatment of serious injuries.

April Unemployment
Harrisburg – Unemployment remained at 3.4% for the seventh consecutive month in Pennsylvania. According to the Department of Labor and Industry, April saw another month of record low unemployment and slow job growth as 2,600 nonfarm jobs were added. A new record 6,159,500 Pennsylvanians are employed and 17,000 new people entered the workforce. The national unemployment rate is 3.9%, it has alternated between 3.7% and 3.9% since last August.
