Jolly Jaunt and Dog Dash
Oil City – On Saturday at 9 a.m. the Oil City Arts Council is hosting its third-ever Jolly Jaunt and Dog Dash at the picturesque Oil City Marina. This 5K run and walk is open for both humans and their dogs and there is still time to register for the event online; the $30 per person and $5 per pet fee will be donated to the Venango County Humane Society and Precious Paws. PSP Offers Autism Spectrum Disorder Interation Cards
Harrisburg – In an effort to improve public safety, the Pennsylvania State Police have produced a special card for people on the autism spectrum to provide to officers during traffic stops and other encounters. These free resources were designed in collaboration with advocates for the autism community and list the person’s name, provide information about emergency contacts, and include a list of statements about what may cause difficulty for the autistic individual. The Autism Spectrum Disorder interaction card can be found on the Safety Resources page at psp.pa.gov and will also be distributed at public events.
