Investigation into Found Body Continues
Clark – Mercer County Coroner John Libonati revealed a few details about the remains found in the Shenango River Reservoir on Tuesday night. According to a press release from his office, the remains are those of a white male, but further forensic testing will be necessary to determine the cause of death, for how long the remains were in the lake, and even who they were. The Pennsylvania State Police have taken over the investigation as of Wednesday and it is being treated as a criminal matter; the Golden Run Wildlife Area near where the remains were found has been closed to public access for the time being. For a third day, authorities plan to search the lake for more remains.
