Man May Have Killed Uncle with Musket
New Castle – A New Castle couple died after being shot in their home on Saturday, the assailant may have used an archaic weapon for the crime. 35-year-old Corbin Partin was arrested for the killings of his uncle Albert Rotz and his Uncle’s girlfriend Rebecca Frank on Saturday evening. Witnesses from a pool party say that Partin was visiting his uncle’s house and then left, shortly after that Rebecca came to the porch and said they had both been shot; Albert was found dead inside the house and Rebecca died at the hospital. Partin has a history of felonies and is not allowed to own firearms, but he did have a collection of black powder weapons and police discovered a percussion cap at the crime scene.

Crash Kills Two, Injures Four
Waterford – Two people were killed and four others suffered serious injuries from a car crash in Erie County on Friday night. On Route 97 near the town of Waterford, at around 9:40 p.m. troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police based in Erie say that 23-year-old Brandon Borland of Waterford attempted to overtake several other vehicles ahead of him in the southbound lane of Route 97 and collided head-on with an SUV in the Northbound lane. The collision killed Borland instantly, it also killed the front-seat passenger of the other vehicle, identified as 19-year-old Alycia Ingram of Union City.  All four other occupants of the SUV were hospitalized for serious injuries. 

Man Convicted of Murder for Distributing Tainted Drugs
Kittanning – In state news, Attorney General Michelle Henry announced the conviction of a Kittaning man of 3rd-degree homicide for distributing crack cocaine laced with fentanyl that killed another Armstrong County man. Nathan Wolf was convicted of homicide in the third degree over the 2020 death of Eric McMillian whom Wolf gave the laced drugs in exchange for use of his car. Wolf was also convicted of other related crimes including aggravated assault because his laced drugs caused two other non-fatal overdoses.
