Corey to be Buried
Sarver – After a candlelight vigil and a public memorial service, Corey Comperatore will be interred today in a private funeral service reserved for friends and family.  Corey was one of three attendees shot at a fateful Donald Trump campaign stop in Butler last Saturday and did not survive his injuries, he died shielding his family from gunfire. Donations can still be made to a GoFundMe campaign for his widow, Allyson, and sentiments can be offered through Redmond Funeral Home. The two other men, David Dutch, and James Copenhaver are both recovering at Allegheny General Hospital, there is a GoFundMe campaign to benefit them as well.

Tunes for Tots this Sunday
Erie – Toys for Tots of Erie County benefitted nearly 2,000 low-income families last year and hopes to help even more this year. To that end, Toys for Tots begins its fund and toy drive season with its 3rd annual ‘Tunes for Tots’ this Sunday, July 21st, from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Sloppy Duck Saloon. This is a family-friendly event and admission is only $5 while children under three are free. There will be live musical performances by Six Year Stretch and Theory of Evolution as well as an auction raffle, and more. ‘Tunes for Tots’ helps raise contingency funds for years when there aren’t enough toy donations, allowing the organization to purchase toys to fill the need. In 2023, 8,083 gifts were given to 1,933 low-income families in the Erie area last year.
