One Killed in Crash
Grove City – A Jackson Center man was killed when his car rolled into a cornfield in Mercer County. Police say that 28-year-old Jason Amon was trapped inside his vehicle and died after losing control while traveling south on Tieline Road at about 12:45 Sunday morning. They say that when Amon lost control he swerved off of the road and then back onto it before his vehicle started to roll. After multiple rotations, the car landed on its roof in the cornfield trapping him inside; he was declared dead at the scene.

Second Jamestown Canyon Virus Detection
Meadville – Jamestown Canyon Virus has been detected in Mosquitoes in a second Crawford County Township. On Friday it was announced that the virus was discovered in mosquitoes in Vernon Township, making it the second discovery in Crawford County this year. Earlier this summer, Jamestown Canyon Virus was also discovered in nearby Woodcock Township. No human infections have been detected yet, symptoms include fevers, headaches, and fatigue and rare cases include respiratory symptoms; left untreated it can cause encephalitis or meningitis. 
Jamestown Canyon Virus is a rare infection that was originally discovered in Jamestown Canyon Colorado that affects less than 200 people in a year. To avoid infections residents should take normal precautions against mosquitoes.
