Teens with Beer in Car Run from Police
Erie – Three Erie County Teenagers are facing charges after allegedly leading police officers on a high-speed pursuit that at times exceeded 120 miles per hour so that they wouldn’t be caught with alcoholic beverages. According to a report from the Pennsylvania State Police, the pursuit began inside the city of Erie at about 2 a.m. on July 5th when a silver Jeep was seen speeding along West 38th Street. When officers attempted a traffic stop the driver fled and led police from several departments on a chase through Erie County. The driver fled through Wesleyville and into Harborcreek Township before being cut off by officers from Wesleyville PD and finally stopping. The 16-year-old driver from Edinboro and two 15-year-old passengers from Erie are being charged in Juvenile Court for the pursuit and for the underaged transportation of alcohol. 

Fatal Crash Claims Three Lives
Energy – Three people, an adult, and two teenagers, were killed in a Friday morning crash in Lawrence County; a younger child was hospitalized. Near the village of Energy, about halfway between Ellwood City and New Castle, a Nissan Armada struck two utility poles and a parked car after crossing traffic shortly after 12:30 Friday morning. Police say the SUV landed on top of the vehicle it struck after going airborne.  All four victims were from the Bogacki family, 43-year-old Nathan, 17-year-old Emma, and 13-year-old Grant were all killed. 10-year-old Aubrey was airlifted to UPMC Children’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help the family members of the victims and the family is also asking for people to send cards in order to encourage their little girl and keep her spirits up. Cutler Calls for Investigation by State Government
Butler – Pennsylvania’s House Minority Leader, Bryan Cutler, wants the General Assembly to form a select committee to investigate the attempt on Donald Trump’s life in Butler County earlier this month. The Lancaster County Republican announced the filing of a resolution to form a committee of three Democrats and three Republicans to probe the actions of state and local law enforcement leading up to the attack. He claims it is not about finding blame, but exploring what can be done better in the future.
