Jefferson Arrested in Pittsburgh
Erie – Justin Jefferson was arrested in Pittsburgh on Tuesday morning and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment of another person, and terroristic threats for what authorities say was the ‘forceful taking’ of his daughter Promise Lavidein. According to witness statements Jefferson, who lives in Pittsburgh, traveled to Erie to visit his daughter and then took her away from her mother, threatening to kill both himself and the baby by crashing his car when she tried to follow. Jefferson traveled the entire way to Pittsburgh with the four-month-old unsecured on his lap; court records indicate his bail was set at a $50,000 unsecured bond. 

15th Annual Thunder in the City
Meadville – Meadville’s 15th annual Thunder in the City begins tomorrow in Downtown Meadville. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy shopping downtown tomorrow for First Friday events and then head to the Diamond for four hours of live music and vendors from 5 to 9 p.m. On Saturday things really pick up with the Master of the Mic singing competition, car shows, more live music, and the Power Wheels Grand Prix. Events may be canceled or rescheduled for extreme weather but are otherwise planned for rain or shine.

Teen Arrested for Sharon Shooting
Sharon – A 17-year-old named Jacari Kitt was arrested and charged with multiple counts of attempted murder for the shooting of his uncle in Mercer County. Police say Kitt confessed to shooting his uncle Robert Coleman multiple times near the Intersection of South Oakland Avenue and George Street in Sharon around 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday; a security camera also recorded him in the act. Robert was taken to a trauma center for injuries to the torso, arms, and legs and there were no updates on his status at press time.
