Man Fatally Struck by Train
Erie – On Thursday morning, another area man was killed when they were struck by a train. This time in Erie, a 34-year-old man whose name has not yet been released suffered fatal injuries when they were struck by a westbound CSX train near the intersection of East 14th and French Streets at around 6:45 a.m. Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook declared the man dead about an hour later. The victim’s name will be revealed pending notification of family and an investigation is ongoing, police do not suspect foul play.

Woman Jailed After Dragging Baby Into Brawl
Oil City – A 22-year-old Oil City Woman has been charged with child endangerment and other crimes after her month-old baby was struck in the head during a fight. According to a recent press release by the Oil City Police Department, on Saturday, July 27th, Margaret Mottram was caught on video carrying her newborn baby in one arm while she aggressively attacked another woman by throwing baby formula at her and then closing in with her fist. The infant was struck in the head during the fight and taken to UPMC Northwest for monitoring. Mottram was arraigned on felony charges of child endangerment as well as misdemeanor assault and summary harassment; she remains in Venango County Jail on $20,000 bail.
