No Charges for Woman who Hit House with Car
Grove City – A woman will not be charged with any offenses after colliding with a house near Grove City. Crash scene investigators say that on the afternoon of August 15th, 62-year-old Marylin Dressel or Mercer had a medical emergency while driving along Mercer-Grove City Road in Mercer County’s Findley Township. The emergency caused her to lose control of her vehicle and collide with mailboxes and a house. Nobody at the residence was harmed and Marylin suffered only minor injury, she was taken to Sharon Regional Hospital for her condition.

Crawford Gives Closes at Nearly $900k
Meadville – After another successful year, Crawford Gives has raised almost $900,000 for 182 local charities and nonprofits. The 2024 Grand Total of $891,305.29 was raised from midnight on Friday night until midnight of last night. This year, the Meadville Area Recreation Foundation which manages the recreation complex received the highest cash amount of over $41,000 in gifts, while the Academy Theater received the most donations and raised about $40,500.
