Cause of Deadly Fire Unkown
Erie – Investigators still have not determined the cause of a deadly fire that took the life of a four-year-old boy on Friday night in Erie. What investigators do know is that at around 1 a.m. the fire began on the first floor of a two-story home on East 4th Street and quickly rose up to the second floor. Two adults and two children lived in the house but no adults were present when the fire started; neighbors rescued an 11-year-old boy before firefighters arrived on scene but his younger brother was trapped inside and died. One Erie fireman was injured when the house’s porch collapsed.
