Police: Crash May be DUI-Related
Meadville – Police are investigating a Tuesday night crash in Crawford County as a possible DUI. The Pennsylvania State Police in Meadville say that Branden Crawford of Guys Mills suffered what they thought were serious injuries when his 2024 Dodge Charger was all but destroyed. Investigators say that he lost control and hit a utility pole, a fence, and a tree while driving on State Route 27 at around 8 p.m. The troopers report that they suspect that Crawford was under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the crash.
Car Catches on Fire
Clintonville – In Venango County, nobody was injured after a car caught fire when it hit a deer on Pittsburgh Road in Irwin Township. State Troopers report that two adults and two children were traveling south from Erie County on Friday night when a deer rushed out in front of their car and they hit it head-on. The crash deployed the car’s airbags and as the driver pulled over to the shoulder the vehicle caught on fire. Everyone managed to exit the vehicle safely before help arrived and Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department extinguished the blaze.
