Suspect in Custody for Shooting
Sharon – On Sunday, a man named Portez Smith was arrested in Sharon on charges of homicide for the death of 31-year-old Jesse Grover. According to Sharon PD, Smith shot Jesse at around 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning while the two men were at an apartment on Logan Avenue. They report that the victim was still clinging to life when they arrived and they attempted life-saving measures, but he died before an ambulance could arrive. At press time Portez Smith was awaiting arraignment at Mercer County Jail.

Boil Water Advisory for Fryburg
Fryburg – Another boil water advisory has been issued in Venango County, this time for customers of the Fryburg Water Authority. Around 180 households in Pinegrove Township, Venango County, and Washington Township, Clarion County are under the advisory. According to Aqua Pennsylvania, who manages the Fryburg Water Authority customers affected by the advisory have been notified and will also be notified when the advisory ends.
