More Legal Woes Befall Sharon Regional
Sharon – Several insurance companies have filed objections to the sale of Sharon Regional Hospital to Tenor Health Systems. At least a dozen companies have filed objections, including Elevance Healthcare, which is connected to Blue Cross/Blue Shield, joined companies like Freedom Optima, CareMore, Unicare, and others, alleging they are still owed millions of dollars by Steward Health. Tenor Health was recognized as the hospital’s owner/operator in January and reopened operations on March 15th. The companies are suing because they received none of the proceeds from the sale and claim debts totalling tens of millions of dollars.
