Suspect in Mercer County Robberies Captured
West Middlesex – 33-year-old Todd Baker of West Middlesex was arrested last week for the robbery of two Amish men in late March. Baker has been charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of attempted robbery after two Amish men were threatened by a man wearing a mask and carrying a firearm in East Lackawannock Township on Thursday, March 27th. He remains in Mercer County jail, unable to make $100,000 bail; he has no violent criminal history.

Meadville 1825: An Evening of Music
Meadville – This Friday, Meadville 1825 presents an Evening of Music at the Unitarian Universalist Church. Starting at 7 p.m., guests will be treated to a variety of songs that were popular in the early 19th century as performed by multiple local musicians in a collection of styles; there will also be a modern composition inspired by the music of the 19th century. The event at 346 Chestnut Street, right next to Diamond Park, will be preceded by a reception at the Unitarian Church’s social hall. The presentation is organized and planned by Sandy Ball and features musicians like Jason Sakal, Greg Adsit, Jennifer Hellworth, and the Stone Methodist Church Bell Choir.
