Bail Denied in Domestic Violence Case
Oil City – An Oil City man named David Stover was denied bail by a Venango County Judge after being arraigned for charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment. According to the Oil City Police Department, Stover grew agitated with his girlfriend on Saturday and began throwing objects at her; he attempted to punch her in the face but missed and punched a cabinet. She and her daughter locked themselves inside a bedroom and called the police while Stover attempted to gain entry and threatened to kill them. He was denied bail when he said he would not come to his April 16th hearing. Stover’s criminal history includes burglary, trespassing, and sexual assault.
Police Identify Man Shot by Officers
Beaver Falls – The name of a man killed by Pennsylvania State Police Officers after a car chase from Ohio into Pennsylvania has been revealed. Deshawn Leeth of Michigan was shot by troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police in Beaver County on Friday. Leeth allegedly assaulted an Ohio State Trooper and stole their cruiser, then fled across the border along I-76 before crashing. He was killed by PA troopers soon after, during what police called an altercation. Beaver County District Attorney Nathan Bible is investigating.
