Thunder in the City Returns
Meadville – Meadville’s Thunder in the City weekend starts a little early this year with the Hot Summer Nights Cruise tonight. Cars will gather on South Main Street at 6:00 p.m. this evening and begin their cruise around the diamond and downtown at 7:00 p.m. On Friday, the celebration begins at 5 p.m.and takes place amongst the Independent Business Alliance’s First Friday sidewalk sales; there will be live music and the Thunder Power Wheels Race for kids, the celebration will wind down at 9:00 p.m.
Saturday is the big day, events start bright and early at 8:00 a.m. and keep coming until we burn out of daylight.  Some Saturday highlights are the classic car show, which starts at 8:00 a.m. sharp, the Master of the Mic competition at noon, live music on the main stage at 2 p.m. and all around the city, an appearance by Magic Steve, a motorcycle parade, food trucks, fire dancers, fighting roboBOTS, Jeep Jam,  and much more. Join the City of Meadville and the Chamber of Commerce for a full weekend of Thunder in the City tonight through Saturday!
