Free Swimming at the MARC
Meadville – Get ready for free swimming at the Meadville Area Recreation Complex this Saturday, courtesy of the Crawford County Drug and Alcohol Executive Commission. From noon to 6 p.m., this Saturday at the MARC, enjoy free access to the pools thanks to the CCDAEC. Crawford County Drug and Alcohol helps people from all walks of life fight against the disease of addiction at little or no cost; this year, they are spreading the word on gambling addiction. Remember, when gambling, set a time and money limit, play for fun, and expect to lose; if you suspect problem gambling, call 1-800-GAMBLER. 

PA Firefly Festival
Tionesta – Today and tomorrow only, the PA Firefly Festival is happening in Tionesta. From noon until 6 p.m., come visit the Market Village for the 14th annual PA Firefly Festival, where you can find vendors galore, free educational exhibits and materials, and free entertainment. Tickets sold out early this year for the guided Tionesta Lake Firefly Tours, but information on how to take a self-guided tour is available at the PFFA booth in the heart of Market Village. Relay for Life in Venango County
Oil City – The American Cancer Society is holding the annual Venango County Relay for Life from 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon until 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Oil City Jr./Sr. High Athletic Field. The event is non-stop, 24 solid hours of laps, entertainment, DJs, live music, food, prizes, and so much more. All proceeds from the event will benefit cancer treatments and research. Celebrate survivors, honor caregivers, remember loved ones lost, and come together to fight cancer as a community at Venango County Relay for Life.

NOW Project Food Distribution
New Castle – Jubilee Ministries International is holding another Project NOW food distribution at the Galleria Plaza Mall in New Castle, Saturday morning, while supplies last, from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Food distribution will begin as soon as the trucks are unloaded, so organizers recommend arriving as early as possible. The ministry will hold a new distribution every month for the rest of the year.
