Allegheny Gnar Downhill Weekend
Oil City – Gnar, it’s mountain biking slang for gnarly; it’s also the name of Venango County’s mountain bike club: Allegheny Gnar. This Independence Weekend on America’s 250th Birthday, Allegheny Gnar is hosting the 2026 PA Mountain Biking Championships in our own backyard; it’s the Allegheny Gnar Downhill Weekend. Dog & Human Training Course
Erie – ANNA Shelter of Erie is accepting registrations for their Dog & Human Training courses with trainers Tony and Matt. Dog and Human Training is not just a six-week obedience course; it also trains you, the handler, how to better communicate with your best friend. Courses begin on Wednesday, July 8th at 6 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. and cost $150, or $125 for ANNA Shelter Alum. Each class can only accept five dog and human pairs.
