Meadville/Oil City – Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary downtown with First Fridays in Meadville and Oil City. Shopping, live entertainment, parades, and fireworks; what more can you ask for?
In Meadville, it’s an Old Fashioned Fourth of July with a parade at 7 o’clock tonight! On the fourth, a huge one-day-only carnival at the Robertson Athletic Complex from noon until 10, including food, live music, rides, and much more. The first 750 visitors can receive an all-day ride pass for free, and GG&C Bus Company will provide free shuttle service from the Downtown Mall and the Crawford County Fairgrounds. Weather permitting, fireworks close out the celebration at 10 p.m.
In Oil City, it’s First Friday and Jolly July 3rd! Seneca Street stays open late for business tonight, and the Byson Band plays a free show! Come on downtown for a late-night block party starting at 5 p.m. The party concludes with a fireworks display over the Allegheny River at 10 p.m.!
