Bulldogs Face Tornadoes on Friday
Meadville – Friday, September 11th: Bulldogs Football on Pop Radio 98.1 and 100.7. It’s Honor Veterans Night as the Dogs return to Bender Field and host the Butler Golden Tornadoes. The Bulldogs have shown they have a strong defense, but over just two games, Butler has scored 53 points. Can Meadville improve their offense and outscore their opponents? Pregame with Jim Shields and Andrew Amato starts at 6:45 p.m., with kickoff at 7:00 p.m.
Mural Revealed at Trinity Center
Erie – Bethesda Lutheran Services will unveil a brand new mural at the Trinity Center in downtown Erie today. The unveiling takes place at 10 a.m. The artist, Christina Wolf of Wolf Art Studios, created and painted the entire 18-panel mural over the summer, and the unveiling will be a public event open to anyone. The Sisters of Saint Joseph Neighborhood Network, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Highmark, and Marquette Bank sponsored the project.
Two Community Fairs this Week
Waterford, Jamestown – School is here, but that doesn’t mean fair season is over, and two new community fairs open this week with school-friendly hours. In Erie County, the 89th annual Waterford Fair’s gates open Tuesday through Friday at 5:00, and admission is only $5; weekly fair passes can be purchased for $10. You can meet Froggy 100.3 and 98.5’s Bullfrog right by the front gate on Wednesday. The 82nd annual Jamestown Community Fair in Mercer County starts at 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday, admission is free.
FCVC French Creek Cleanup Day
NWPA – This Saturday, the French Creek Valley Conservancy holds its annual French Creek Watershed Cleanup Day. New this year: trash collection and the picnic will take place at the Crawford County Fairgrounds, and volunteers no longer need to register for specific spots on the creek. Hoppy Gilmore from Froggy 100.3 and 98.5 will be there early to help things get launched.
