Messerall Truss Restoration wins Award
Linesville – The Franklin chapter of the American Society of Highway Engineers gave the award for its project of the year to the restoration of the Messerall Truss Bridge and the Pymatuning State Park Trail Extension Project. The Messerall Truss Bridge was built in 1857 and then retired after 110 years of service; in 2021 the bridge was torn down and reforged by blacksmiths; last September it was rebuilt to carry Pymatuning State Park Trail over Linesville Creek to create a direct footpath from the village of Linesville to the Pymatuning Lake Spillway.
Rep. Rapp Opens New Office
Cambridge Springs – Next Friday, March 3rd, from 1-4 PM State Representative Kathy Rapp, who represents portions of Crawford, Forest, and Mercer Counties will host an open house for her new office.
