It’s that time of year to protect your best friend by renewing his dog license. All dogs older than three months should be licensed for 2023 by January 1st, the dog license protects your companion and makes him easier to return home should he become lost, and it’s also PA law. A license costs as little as $6.50 for a neutered animal and $8.50 for an unaltered dog; lifetime licenses are $31.50 and $51.50. A fine for an unlicensed dog is at least $50 to $300 and court fees. Contact your county treasurer to license your dog as soon as possible. Even dogs with microchips are required to have a license.
