Police Investigate Body Discovered Outside Meadville
Meadville – Crawford County authorities are investigating the cause of death of a body discovered at a nature area near Cussewago Creek during a search for a missing person on Friday. The body of a 26-year-old male was discovered while members of the Pennsylvania State Police, Meadville City Police Department, Conneaut Regional Police, and Hayfield and Vernon Central Volunteer Fire Departments were all participating in a missing person search. The identity of the body has not been revealed beyond age and sex and the Pennsylvania State Police have not confirmed whether they were even the subject of the search. The Pennsylvania State Police major case team has taken over the investigation.

PA State House Divided
Harrisburg – Friday marked an entire month since the Pennsylvania House of Representatives elected speaker Mark Rozzi, but it has still yet to get beyond a partisan gridlock on any other front and has failed to even finalize this session’s rules. Speaker Rozzi underwent a listening tour of the commonwealth’s largest cities looking for ideas, and there is hope that the completion of a trio of special elections tomorrow will give one party a clear majority and allow things to finally move forward.
