Three Car Crash in Erie County
Union Township – Ice, snow, and wind, were factors in a three car collision in Erie County’s Union Township yesterday. On Route 6, three vehicles were damaged when a chain reaction pushed the first two vehicles into a third one shortly before 5 PM; crash scene investigators say the crash was caused by a driver going too fast for conditions and unable to stop in time. All three drivers suffered some level of injury though only one accepted transportation to a hospital from the Union City Fire Department.
At least 500 PA Residents Harmed by East Palestine Chemicals
Harrisburg – Yesterday, Pennsylvania’s Acting Health Secretary, Dr. Debra Bogen, updated a joint session of the Democratic and Republican policy committee’s on the fallout from the train derailment on the Pennsylvania and Ohio border in East Palestine. According to Secretary Dr. Bogen, more than 500 residents of Beaver and Lawrence Counties came to the health department through a resource center with complaints about headaches, anxiety, and ear nose and throat symptoms. The Health Department opened a resources center in Darlington Township, Beaver County on February 28th where the patients were seen and is also performing chemical exposure surveys of residents in those areas.
