St. Patrick’s DUI Enforcement
Northwest PA – This weekend the Pennsylvania State Police and local law enforcement in many towns will actively seek out impaired drivers. Last year there were 313 DUI related crashes which caused four fatalities on St. Patrick’s Day. For many people, this is a festive time, but even when celebrating we need to remain responsible. If you drink, don’t drive, use a cab or a ride-sharing service, or find someone to be your designated driver, and above all be safe and have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

Radio Auction Tomorrow
Meadville – The Northwest Pennsylvania Radio Auction begins tomorrow at 8 AM, but if you’re interested in bidding there is already some action going on. Go to and check out the radio auction, while there you can see pictures of some of the auction items; sign up for a bidder number; and for the first time, place a bid for some of the most coveted items on the auction. Man Hospitalized After ATV Fall
Grove City – A Grove City man was injured when he fell off of an ATV while riding after dark. At about 9 PM last Friday Shane Clokey was using his Honda four-wheeler to make a quick trip down Scrubgrass Road in Mercer County when he lost control and fell off of the vehicle, he was not wearing a helmet or safety gear and was hospitalized for his injuries.

DA Convicted of Violent Crimes
Somerset County – In state news, Somerset County District Attorney Jeffrey Thomas has been convicted of assault, strangulation, indecent assault, and kidnapping. Thomas was found guilty of stalking and eventually attacking a woman in her home in the town of Windber in September 2021. He also will be on trial for a separate domestic violence charge later this year and is undergoing an assessment as a sexually violent criminal.

Fish and Game Commission Stocks Streams
Pennsylvania – The Fish and Game Commission has begun stocking more than 3.2 million trout in Pennsylvania’s rivers and streams in preparation for the official start of Trout Season which begins this year on April 1st.
