Crash Kills One, Injures Young Family
Conneautville – A woman is dead and a young family was hospitalized after a head-on collision just south of Conneautville on Friday. At about 4:30 in the afternoon crash scene, investigators say eyewitnesses observed a Honda Civic driven by a 75-year-old woman drift into oncoming traffic on St, Patrick’s Day. A Ford Flex in the incoming lane swerved to avoid her at the same time she corrected and a head-on collision ensued. The elderly woman succumbed to injuries before emergency services could arrive; two adults in their early twenties and two children, one a newborn the other only two, were hospitalized.
Work Begins on Zuck Road Project
Erie – Tree removal will begin today on parts of Zuck Road in Millcreek Township, Erie County as PennDOT contractors prepare for a repaving project that begins on April 3rd. An entire two mile stretch of Zuck Road between Zimmerly Road and West 26th Street is to be repaved and work will include drainage improvements, curb replacements, signage, left turn lanes, and new traffic signals. is to be repaved and receive several upgrades. Work on this repaving project is expected to last until early or mid-June.
