Four Charged with Assault
Franklin – Three men and a woman were all charged with simple assault after a melee on Congress Hill Road in Sandycreek Township, Venango County, last Wednesday. The brawl apparently began at about 9:30 at night when two men approached a man and a woman who were sitting by a campfire behind their garage to complain about the noise; one thing led to another and all four allegedly began to fight one another.

The Property Tax/Rent Rebate is available to Senior Citizens aged at least 65, widows and widowers at least 50 years old, and adults with disabilities; income is capped at $35,000 for homeowners and $15,000 for renters, but any Income from Social Security is considered half as much.
