Greenville Man Charged with Sexual Assault of Twins
Greenville – Shane Slicker of Greenville has been charged with nine felonies related to the alleged rape and sexual assault of two twin fifteen-year-old girls. Slicker, a registered offender, was in a relationship with the two girls’ older sister and according to the police, Slicker subjected the girls to sexual harassment and advances starting in January. In February he is accused of forcing himself on one of the girls as she slept on a couch. Slicker has been remitted to Mercer County Jail where he remains with bail set at $75,000. In 2019 Slicker pleaded no contest to corruption of minors and indecent assault, a no contest plea means that they will accept the charges, but will not accept guilt.
PA Unemployment Rises for First Time in Months
Harrisburg – Unemployment in Pennsylvania rose 1/10th of a percentage point in February, not because of job losses, but because more people are searching for work. According to the PA Department of Labor, the commonwealth has recovered 100% of the jobs lost to the COVID-19 pandemic and a record number of people are employed. Unemployment sits at 4.4% as new job seekers enter the workforce. 6,094,400 people are employed in PA, which is the highest it’s ever been.
