Road Work Around the Corner
Northwest PA – PennDOT’s road construction season is about to begin. Construction and paving projects around the Northwest Pennsylvania region will begin on Monday. By April 10th most of PennDOT’s ongoing projects will have resumed; this includes projects on Interstates 79 and 90 in Erie County and Route 27 in Crawford County. Slow down when you encounter road work and obey all signs and flaggers.
Trout Season
Pennsylvania – Trout season begins tomorrow, and no it’s not an April Fool’s trick. Pennsylvania’s Trout Season begins at 8 AM on the first Saturday in April until Labor Day. All trout must be at least 7 inches long if they are to be kept and there is a five fish per day bag limit for each angler.
Man Recieves 3,000 years in Prison
Waynesburg – A judge in Greene County recently handed down what might be the longest prison sentence in the history of Pennsylvania. On Wednesday a man named Matthew Perry was sentenced to 3,000 years in prison after being convicted of over 13,000 crimes related to the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old girl over several years. He will be eligible for parole in the year 3523. The longest prison sentence handed down in the USA was to Charles Scott Robinson, who was sentenced to 30,000 years for raping a 3-year-old girl in 1994.
