Justice goes for the Dogs
Franklin – From the office of Venango County Sheriff Eric Foy: A deputy who is sworn in as a Humane Society Police Officer has filed animal cruelty charges against two individuals who recorded themselves forcing a dog to drink alcohol. An apparently widely circulated SnapChat video showed the dog being restrained and struggling to escape while the alcohol was poured into its throat and mouth. After a thorough investigation, both the people filming and performing the act have been identified and the deputy was able to confirm that the liquid in the video was indeed alcoholic. A Franklin woman and a Rouseville man have been charged with animal cruelty for ill-treatment and abuse of a dog creating a risk of imminent injury.
