Missing or Stolen Handgun
Rouseville – In Venango County, authorities are asking people to keep their eyes peeled for any sign of a missing or stolen firearm. A brown 9MM Canik handgun has gone missing from the home of a Rouseville man who reported to police that he didn’t know if it was lost or stolen. Anybody with information should call the Pennsylvania State Police in Franklin at (814)676-6596.

PennDOT Releases Special Pollinators Plate
Harrisburg – PennDOT has announced the release of a new ‘Pollinators’ license plate available for purchase for the vehicles of state residents.  This special plate contains the standard Pennsylvania license plate colors and depicts an image of a monarch butterfly, honeybee, and green sweat bee visiting a flower. The plate is available for vehicles up to seven tons and 65% of the proceeds go to the Pollinator Habitat Fund.

Medication Abortions Still Legal in PA
Harrisburg – Following a ruling by a Federal Judge in Texas, Pennsylvania officials confirmed that medication-assisted abortions are still legal in the state of Pennsylvania along the parameters of the state’s Abortion Control Act. Pennsylvania’s laws have not changed with this ruling and abortion is permitted in Pennsylvania through the 23rd week of pregnancy, and afterward when necessary to protect the life or health of the pregnant person.
