Police Investigating Hit & Run
Mercer – The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that happened in Mercer County last Tuesday. At about 9:45 PM on the night of Tuesday, April 25th an unknown driver hit 28-year-old Kevin Brown of Greenville as he was walking along the shoulder of a stretch of Highway 58 known as Mercer Road in Delaware Township. The driver of the vehicle briefly pulled over but then fled the scene. Fortunately, the victim did not suffer life threatening injuries and was able to call for help.

Shapiro Signs Breast Cancer Law
Harrisburg – On Monday, Governor Josh Shapiro put his signature on Pennsylvania’s first new law since he was sworn in. The new law requires insurance companies to cover the cost of preventative screenings for women who are at high risk for breast cancer. The law passed by unanimous consent in both the PA House and Senate and was written by Senate President Kim Ward, who is herself a breast cancer survivor.
