Car Rolls 100 Yards After Crash
Emlenton – A young woman survived a crash after her vehicle rolled for what police say may have been 100 yards. Kyra Ford (21) of Conneaut Ohio lost control of her Ford Fusion after investigators say she experienced a physical condition while driving on Interstate 80 near the Emlenton exit. Her car rolled and drove off of the interstate and came to a stop at the bottom of an embankment where she was recovered and taken to Grove City Hospital by ambulance, injured, but alive.

SRU Receives Special Ed Grant
Slippery Rock – Slippery Rock University was recently awarded a $100,000 grant for its special education program. The money will be used in the accelerated program for special education which is an intensive 18-month course for people with education degrees.

Special Election to Decide Control of PA House
Clifton Heights – Control of the Pennsylvania Legislature could change again this year after next Tuesday’s Primary. A special election for a House seat in the 163rd District that was vacated by Democrat Mike Zabel amid sexual harassment allegations in March will be held during the primary. Two women, Republican Katie Ford, and Democrat Heather Boyd are vying for the seat in the district which has been reliably Democratic for almost a decade.
