113 Child Pornography Charges Against Crawford County Man
Meadville – In Crawford County, a man has been charged with 113 felonies for the alleged possession of child pornography. Shane McKinney was arraigned yesterday in Magisterial District Court on 100 charges of possessing child pornography, twelve charges of disseminating the images to other people, and criminal use of a communication facility. McKinney has been given $25,000 bail and goes to trial in June.
PA Joins Lawsuit Against Telecom Company
Harrisburg – Yesterday Pennsylvania’s Attorney General, Michelle Henry, announced that the Commonwealth would be suing Avid Telecom. Avid Telecom is a telecommunications company responsible for facilitating hundreds of millions of robocalls to Pennsylvania residents on the National Do Not Call list and over 7.5 billion spam calls around the country. AG Henry’s suit also names the company’s President, Michael Lansky, and Vice President Stacey Reeves as defendants. This filing is part of a multi-state lawsuit filed against Avid Telecom involving the Attorneys General from all 50 US states.
Avid Telecom allegedly sent or transmitted scam calls about Social Security Administration scams, Medicare scams, auto warranty scams, Amazon scams, DirecTV scams, credit card interest rate reduction scams, employment scams, and more, as well as robocalls and calls from telemarketers to people on the National Do Not Call list.
