Union City Man Charged with Vehicular Assault
A Union City man was officially charged with vehicular assault yesterday, stemming from an incident in late May. Theodore Rose (45) allegedly got into an altercation with two women from Centerville and after using a fist to smash a window on one victim’s car, he is said to have used his own vehicle to push one or both victims and strike their vehicle again. Court records indicate Rose was released from jail with the help of a Bail Bondsman.
PA State Trooper Assassinated
The names of two Pennsylvania State Police officers who a gunman shot in Juniata County on Saturday have been released. The shooter launched multiple attacks on PSP troopers on Saturday morning by first opening fire on officers and vehicles at a station in Juniata County and a search for him began. A 45-year-old Lt. named James Wagner was the first victim, he was critically injured in an exchange of fire with the suspect early Saturday afternoon. 29-year-old Trooper Jacques Rougeau Jr. was killed later that same afternoon and the gunman was killed soon after. The flags on all state-run facilities will be flown at half-mast indefinitely in honor of the end of Trooper Rougeau’s watch; he is the 104th PA Trooper killed on duty.
