Trooper Rougeau Returned Home
Corry – Fallen Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Jacques Rougeau Jr. was escorted back to his hometown of Corry where his remains are currently interred at Bracken Funeral Home. Trooper Rougeau was a Northwest PA native who was stationed to patrol Juniata County when he joined the Pennsylvania State Police three years ago. On Saturday, he was ambushed and killed by a shooter with an apparent grudge against the State Police and became the 104th officer slain on duty in the organization’s 118 year history.  At press time, Bracken Funeral Home had not announced a date for a memorial service.
