Please be Safe this Independence Day
As we head into an extended Independence Day Weekend, Seven Mountains Media, PennDOT, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Fish and Boat Commission, and Governor Josh Shapiro would like to remind you to have a safe and happy Holiday by celebrating responsibly. Remember that this is a busy time of year for travel and if you are using the interstate or major highways plan for traffic delays and other difficulties that can delay the arrival at your destination. Drive responsibly and give you and your passengers some extra time to get where you are going. Please do not drink and operate any vehicles; the Pennsylvania State Police and municipal police departments will be on patrol and using checkpoints to watch for DUI and aggressive drivers, the Fish and Boat Commission will likewise be watching for drunken boaters. If you are drinking, please have a designated driver or use public transportation or a ride sharing service.
