Man Leads Police on Low Speed Chase
Erie – An Erie man has been charged with fleeing and eluding the police after leading officers on a chase through the outskirts of the city on Friday night. Colin Donahue (23) was lit up by a state trooper when he was suspected of DUI on June 30th and tried to escape rather than pull over. He led officers on what was described as a 45 mile per hour chase from Fairview into Millcreek Township and was stopped by the use of a PIT Maneuver before reaching more populous regions of Erie County where he could be a menace. Donahue is out after a bondsman posted $25,000 in bail and has been charged with fleeing and eluding police, driving under the influence of a controlled substance, driving on a suspended license, and multiple summary offenses.
