Police Investigate Burglary
Venango – Authorities are investigating a burglary in Crawford County’s Venango Township. Sometime between Independence Day and last Saturday an unknown actor or actors entered a camper located on a property along Cemetery Road and removed items including baby formula, jewelry, and parts to an SKS rifle. The burglar then left the scene, leaving a door open.

Helmets and Hotdogs with Heroes
Meadville – In two weeks’ time in Meadville, on Wednesday, July 26th from 4 to 6 PM, is Helmets and Hotdogs with Heroes. Elementary students that attend schools in Crawford Central School District, or Seton School, and CCA are invited to join the Meadville City Police and Fire Departments at Second District Elementary School’s playground. Come on down to visit with the city’s police and firefighters, have a hot dog, be fitted for a free bicycle helmet while supplies last, and there is even a chance to win a brand new bicycle. Partners in Helmets and Hotdogs with Heroes are the United Way, CHIC, Safe Kids USA, Crawford Central School District, Emigs Bicycle Shop, and the City of Meadville.
