Police Officer Charged with Assault
Meadville – A West Meade Township Police officer has been charged with false imprisonment, assault, and other crimes related to an August of 2022 incident, he has also been charged with intimidating a witness in June. Officer Seth Wise was accused by an ex-girlfriend of domestic abuse with her claiming he took her phone and locked her in his home where he punched her several times over the course of hours. Wise is also accused of attempting to intimidate one of his accuser’s friends into changing her story about that night on June 1st this year. Court records indicate that Wise is free after posting $5,000 bail and his preliminary hearing is on July 25th.

Harrisburg Landmark Destroyed
Harrisburg – After a fire destroyed a portion of the historic Broad Street Market in Harrisburg on Monday morning, officials in the city are already drafting plans to repair the damage and restore the building. The market had been in continuous operation since 1860 before a Monday morning fire tore through it, according to investigators the fire was caused by faulty wiring in a ceiling fan which set the wooden roof of the structure alight. Harrisburg’s mayor Wanda Williams has vowed that the structure will be rebuilt and will open once again.
