DEP Issues Statewide Air Quality Alert
A code orange air quality alert has been issued for the entire state of Pennsylvania by the Department of Environmental Protection. Orange air quality means that the air quality could be dangerous for young children, the elderly, and those with respiratory problems, such as asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis because they are especially vulnerable to pollution levels. Smoke from Wildfires in Canada is the main contributor to poor air quality.
