DUI Arrest in Pleasantville
Pleasantville – A 69-year-old woman from Amelia, Ohio may be facing DUI charges in Pennsylvania after she managed to block both sides of a street in Pleasantville with her car. According to witnesses and the Pennsylvania State Police, on Saturday the unnamed woman was on Parallel Street in Pleasantville when she drove into a resident’s yard and became stuck, she was able to unstick her vehicle from the yard and then drove into the roadway, blocking both lanes of traffic and coming to a complete stop. Police believe she showed signs of impairment and she was unable to walk or stand without assistance. She was arrested under suspicion of DUI, but charges are pending while investigators wait for lab results.
PENNVEST Loans $8 Million to Conneaut Lake
Conneaut Lake – Conneaut Lake has received a PENNVEST Loan of over $8 million to upgrade water pumping facilities near Conneaut Lake Dam. The money will be used to replace a corroded force main and upgrade pumping stations to correct flow imbalances in the borough’s water collection system which will mitigate environmental hazards. PENNVEST is the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Loan Authority, it funds drinking water, storm drain, and sewage projects with grants and low-interest loans.
