Synagogue Shooter Trial Ends
Pittsburgh – In State News, after three phases and many weeks, the trial of Robert Bowers will officially end today with the formal pronouncement of the death penalty by U.S. District Court Judge Robert Colville. All 12 jurors unanimously decided Bowers should be executed for the grim attack that killed 11 people and injured many others at Pittsburgh’s Tree of Life Synagogue in October of 2018. In determining the death penalty the jurors rejected the attempts by the defense to paint the man convicted of the worst anti-Semetic attack in US history as being mentally ill.
