PSP Sunny Day Camp
Union City – The Pennsylvania State Police Troop E will be holding their Sunny Day Camp on September 23rd at the campus of Union City High School. Sunny Day Camp is an inclusive event for special needs children and adults in Erie, Crawford, Warren, and Venango Counties; they will get to spend time with Pennsylvania State Police Troopers and see First-Responder vehicles up close, participate in activities and games, and have lunch. Sunny Day Camp is cost free and participants will get a certificate and a t-shirt for attending. Registration is limited to 100 participants this year and must be completed online by visiting SunnyDayCamp.org. Bus Driver Declared Sex Offender
Butler – In State News, a Butler County school bus driver was sentenced to four to eight years in state prison after being convicted of using social media to solicit sex with a 15-year-old girl. Mark Garris worked for the Greensburg Salem School District before traveling to meet a police officer he believed was an underage teenager and being arrested. Garris will also spend at least eight years on probation and will be registered as a sexual offender for life.

Man Hits Deer, Rock on Motorcycle
Polk – Investigators revealed the details of a crash that hospitalized a 70-year-old Ohio man in Venango County last Wednesday. While riding his motorcycle along State Route 62 in French Creek Township Dean Wilson of Deerfield collided with a deer at about 8:30 PM. He hit the animal head-on and slid more than 150 feet before being ejected off of his bike and flying at least ten feet before his body hit a roadside boulder. Mr. Wilson was wearing safety gear but had to be flown by STAT MedEvac to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for injuries sustained from hitting the rock.

Tour Bus Crash Injures Dozens
Harrisburg – Three people were killed, and dozens more were injured when a tour bus rolled over during a storm on Sunday. The bus was returning from a trip to New York City with 48 passengers when it was involved in a traffic accident on the interstate near Harrisburg when it rolled. Virtually every survivor aboard the bus was treated for injuries at Hershey Medical Center. Super Lucky Tour Company which operates the bus was involved in a similar incident last year.
